The cost of your Scothaus home will depend on the design and specification choices you make. The size and complexity of the design; the material and component selection for the Scothaus Core System; and the fit-out choices you make, can all alter the overall costs dramatically.
Because the Scothaus Core System is likely to represent a relatively high proportion of the total budget for your home, our aim is to work with you to create a clear picture of these costs, as you make your choices. Our Scothaus team will take you through the available options, from decisions on which wall type and thermal performance you require, to the selection of external wall finishes, windows and doors, rainwater goods, staircases, internal doors & ironmongery, skirtings, etc.
Once your selections have been made, we will provide you with a cost estimate for the Scothaus Core System based on these.
The cost of the Scothaus Core System will include many materials and components which would not be included in the price of most "timber kits" and care must be taken not to make comparison with these without a full understanding of what needs to be added. A Scothaus Core System is likely to be priced at between £950 to £1,300 per square metre, depending on all of the design and specification decisions you have made.
The Scothaus team help you realise that dream by working with you and your architect, to design the house to your imagination and specification and support you in obtaining statutory approvals for construction.
Scothaus is manufactured with pride in Scotland by one of the UK's leading timber frame system fabricators: Scotframe Timber Engineering Limited.
Building a new home is exciting - but it also has the potential to be quite stressful managing all the elements and details on your own.
