[ Update – 25th March 2020 ]
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday evening [23rd March] we took the decision to close our offices, showrooms and manufacturing facilities while we sought urgent clarification from the UK Government about how we should operate our business within the Government guidelines.
As promised yesterday we are writing to update all of our stakeholders on our position in this rapidly changing environment. Following government advice, yesterday we fully implemented our remote working plan. Our office based staff (sales, estimating, design, technical and business support functions) are all operating remotely, and remain contactable either directly, or via [email protected]. Please note that all offices and showrooms remain closed to the public.
We continue to engage with customers to understand their essential and immediate needs. We are reviewing our operational capability to determine what measures we can implement that will allow our staff to work towards meeting those requirements while protecting their safety and the safety of others. We will complete this assessment today. While we do so we have asked our manufacturing teams to remain at home for a further 24 hours – for our customers this means we will not be in a position to complete any deliveries today (Wed 25th March). All affected customers will be directly contacted.
We will provide a further update by close of business today regarding our delivery and manufacturing capability during this period.
We understand the financial uncertainty that the current situation may create. As a member of the Saint-Gobain group we would like to reassure all of our customers and supplier partners of our financial stability and resilience. The Group has addressed this in a recent press release which can be read here.
Through an extraordinary time, our colleagues have risen to the challenge and we are truly grateful for all their efforts and dedication. We would also like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
